Fiona Claire Bruce, better known as Fiona Bruce, is a British politician of the Conservative Party. She has served as a Member of Parliament for Congleton in the 2010 general election.
She was born on 26 March 1957 in Wick, Caithness, Scotland. Currently, she is 64 years old as of 2021.

Early life and Education
She was born as Fiona Claire Riley to Allan Stewart and Greta Riley. She completed her schooling at Burnley High school for Girls and the Independent Howell’s School, Llandaff. Further, she pursued law from Victoria University of Manchester and later studied at Chester Law College.
In 1981, she was taken as a solicitor and has been also serving as a senior partner of the firm named Fiona Bruce & Co in Warrington since it was formed in 1988.
Political career
In 2004, she was elected to Warrington Borough Council. From 2006 to 2009, she served in that post as Executive member for Finance. After that in 2010, she stepped out from the Council upon her election to Parliament. In the 2005 general election, she was unsuccessfully contested for Warrington South.
In 2006, she was placed on the Conservative A-list of priority parliamentary candidates which followed efforts made by the Conservative Women2Win mentoring and pressure group.
After her selection as the Conservative Party candidate for the Congleton constituency, she rejected the allegations that she had been chosen following an orchestrated campaign by religious groups which are sympathetic to her evangelical Christian beliefs. Moreover, she has been serving as a member of the Scottish Affairs Select Committee since 2010.
In 2015, she introduced an amendment to the Serious Crime Bill 2014 which make absorption on the grounds of the sex of the baby illegal but that amendment was rejected by 292 votes to 201. In the 2016 referendum, she supported Brexit.
In 2019, she chaired an inquiry by the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission into prostitution and this result in making a recommendation to replace existing laws on soliciting prostitution with laws that can make paying for sexual services a criminal offense.

Personal life
In 1990, she got married to Richard John Bruce, they have two children. In 2003, Bruce was awarded the title of ‘ Small Businesswomen of the Year’.
